{On his background and body of works}

CCW: I studied Media Theatre Arts at Montana State University. Outside of institutional education, old John Waters films influenced me heavily. That, and the majority of my artistic approach was birthed from my shyness as a teenager. Feeling separate and unable to assimilate the social cues of my peers, I turned to photography, music, and filmmaking as my primary form of communication.

My work is an attempt to display isolation in an individual and the aberrations of the  stranger alike,  that to the average person commonly appear unseemly and not often enough appearing as beautiful eccentricities.

{On his work in fashion}

CCW: Regarding fashion, and fashion shoots; as infamously vain as it all may feel at times, fashion just gets a bad rap from the passive viewers, in my opinion...The utilitarian properties of garments are redefined when worn within a metropolitan environment.

Clothes must first project an impression of a dynamic, compelling, and resilient human amongst an arid climate, ever contesting passionate boredom.

Visual cues

A selection of self-works and other images from Christopher Charles Williams and what they mean to him.

1._No. 33 This photo depicts man in slap-stick (the banana) state of failure.
2. Vivian Maier - Street Photography : The pose itself reminded me of architecture and inspired future poses for the models in fashion shoots.
3.  Suspiria - Dario Argento : This particular film's use of color reinforced the importance of color and stood as a reminder of the compelling effects of robust lighting.
4. _No 40 Rebirth and revaluation of oneself is a necessary in order to not only progress ones emotional state but to aid the progress of others. From victimization to salvation, consistent revaluation is the only constant on the path to progress.
5. _No 36 It shows the bump in the road we will forever hit, even at our most glamorous moments.
6.Ray Metzker - Street Photography : The framing in this particular shot makes me feel as if this photo is photoshoped. Yet the photos was taken far before photoshop was invented. The framing of the subjects gives the photo a surreal quality.

The next project to be released is a film discussing loyalty, mental health, and the primitive evil hidden inside us all. That, if not exercised will come back to consume us and redefine us entirely.
